Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Mailwand browser extension (“Mailwand”, “the extension”, “we”, “us”) handles information. Mailwand is provided by Sanjaya Thilakabandara, trading as Wisplo, based in Sweden. You can contact us at wisplo.support@gmail.com.

1. Single purpose

Mailwand is an email-productivity tool. Its single purpose is to let you save and insert reusable email templates and signatures, and to set follow-up reminders, within supported webmail services (Gmail, Outlook/Hotmail, and Yahoo Mail).

2. Information Mailwand handles

Mailwand handles the following information entirely on your own device:

• Content you create — the email templates, signatures, folder names, and shortcuts you choose to save.
• Reminder details — the note, time, and (optionally) the subject line and link of the email you set a follow-up reminder for, plus a short local history of reminders that have fired.
• Recently viewed email subjects — to offer them as quick suggestions when you create a reminder, Mailwand keeps a short list (most recent ~20) of subject lines and the page address they came from. This is stored locally and is never transmitted to us.
• Your settings — such as your chosen reminder sound.

To provide these features, Mailwand’s in-page component reads the subject field and the open message’s subject heading on supported mail sites, and inserts your chosen template text into the message you are composing. This processing happens locally in your browser in real time and is not recorded or sent anywhere by us.

3. What we do not do

• We do not operate any server that receives your data.
• We do not read, collect, store, or transmit the body of your emails to us.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, or any purpose unrelated to the extension’s single purpose.
• We do not include analytics or tracking inside the extension.

4. Where your data is stored

Your templates and signatures are stored using Chrome’s storage.sync, which keeps them on your device and, if you are signed into your browser with sync enabled, syncs them across your own browsers via your browser vendor (e.g., Google) under their privacy terms. Reminders, recent subjects, the fired-reminder history, and settings are stored using Chrome’s storage.local on your device only.

5. Payments (Pro upgrade)

Mailwand’s optional Pro features are sold through Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record for the transaction and processes your payment. If you choose to upgrade, Dodo Payments collects the information needed to process your payment and to comply with tax and legal obligations — typically your email address, billing/country information, and payment-card details. We never receive or store your card details. We receive only confirmation of your paid status and a license key so the extension can unlock Pro features for you. 6. Permissions and why they are used

• storage — to save your templates, signatures, reminders, and settings.
• alarms — to trigger your follow-up reminders at the time you set.
• notifications — to show a desktop notification when a reminder is due.
• offscreen — to play the reminder chime.
• Host access to mail.google.com, outlook.live.com, outlook.office.com, outlook.office365.com, and mail.yahoo.com — so the extension can add its template tools to your compose window and detect the subject for reminders.
• Host access to dodopayments.com — to validate your Pro license with our payment processor.

7. Data retention and deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual templates, signatures, or reminders inside the extension, or remove everything by uninstalling the extension, which clears its stored data from your device. You can export a backup of your templates at any time from the extension’s options page. 8. Your rights

Because we (the developer) do not collect or hold your content on any server, you remain in direct control of it on your device. If you are in the EU/EEA (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you have rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. For data held by Mailwand, you can exercise these rights directly through the extension (view, edit, export, delete, or uninstall). 9. Children

Mailwand is a productivity tool intended for general business and personal email use and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, note them in the extension’s store listing or release notes.
